popular artists are good people
hi everyone! omo here.
i've been thinking quite a lot lately. this topic is very nuanced, so please take my journal with a grain of salt. i wanted to share some passing thoughts from today.
you see someone popular in school IRL. to some extent, that popular person has to be good, right? in general, they have to be treating others nicely in order for a lot of people to like them.
but online, it's not quite the same circumstances as IRL, is it?
it is easier to gain popularity online without people needing to know what type of person you are. this can be nice - to have your work appreciated without getting too personal.
but, you can be popular and also be a shy, unconfident person.
(as an example)
on the other hand, you can be popular and also be an intolerant, angry person.
